They didn't recognize each other before because they never saw each other's face. Seriously, look back through all the previous chapters where they were both at college and in the same room; at no point did either of them have an unobstructed line of sight to the other's face. There's even one time when Urumin briefly mistook another guy for Kimiya, who ironically was further away from her in the opposite direction and thus she couldn't hear him talking to his friend.

...........that's literally the entire point of my comment dude, I WANT them to be able to recognize each other when she isn't in her idol look 🤦🏾‍♂️

@RyuukuSensei I'm checking in on all the series I enjoy that haven't been purged and don't have groups with external contact info to ask: Do you have any plans for a discord for fans or anything like that which might survive if Mangadex wipes out more content or radically changes? I understand if you don't want to say too much publicly, but I (and others) enjoy this series and it'd suck if it were to vanish on here and we had no idea what to do as a fallback plan.
