Well, it's finally over. This is, without a doubt, one of the best contemporary harem manga I've read in recent years. It was really fun, the story, the characters, the narrative, and the unique style made this manga really enjoyable. It's a shame it was rushed at the end. I'm gonna miss this manga, it was a wirld ride, but it was really good. I hope someday someone translated the prequel. Thanks for the translation btw.

All the girls are good in their way, but Amou is a bit better than the rest.

Actually, feels like it's on-brand for Nomura. He sticks around with his friends, trouble comes looking for him, and he bails.

We just got off a huge arc with his former friends starting trouble, led directly into the start of another arc with a group of trouble makers (girl with the belly wounds) looking for him, and then Nomura bails again.

The best ending is that he finally had people (Rin) willing to follow him.

I saw that it was completed and picked up my resolved to finish up the last 30 chapters.
And yeah. The second arc was horrendous, but at least the ending is somewhat decent so I don't feel like wasting 1.5 hours.

Thanks for TLing this to completion, unsure how to feel about this entire last volume. Sort of felt the Mangaka wanted to finish things off later and set up intrigue but I am sort of still bewildered by the entire last arc with the introduction of so many characters and so many new plot points. I don't think the series was bad, the focus on martial arts and action is why I read it to begin with and that felt well done, I just struggle to understand MC fully after it is all done. Good job mask girl cementing her seat as winner I guess?

Yeah, fall, festival etc, next chapter, u guess it, winter. Then spring comes right next chapter.
Doubt author gets to express all their ideas, but it's nice to see a sneak peak of some of them.

To be fair the author himself was going through poor health issues. More than axe it's a case where he gave up.

I dunno. Fortunately I recorded the date I began reading this (Apr 14, 2024). Having nearly a year of pause doesn't help when the story in the first place was hard to follow, being mostly action scenes. I think there were three big arcs. The first was getting the approval of the five "sword-masters" or something like that. The second was confronting an "attack" from his old classmates which ended with closure for them. There was a very brief third arc that lasted only a few chapters. That last arc should not have existed, instead it should have been falling action to prepare Nomura for his departure. I didn't like the last chapter since it introduced a whole new arc rather than end the story as now everyone seems to be chasing him. I preferred the other ending where only one girl, perhaps the one most in love with Nomura, decides to follow him. I assume people did not want their heroine to "lose" so that pressured the author to write chapter 87.

I can't really recommend it for anything outside of action since the story dragged on fight scenes way too long for my liking. The artwork was unique though, I liked the eyes in particular and how each character had very different sets of eyes from each other that made then stand out. I want to see more of that from other stories I read.
