Not sure why he'd be a dungeon idiot, for not knowing he can't copy skills he hasn't seen activate. It's an inferred limitation, that you would have to go out of your way to locate a person and a skill that you know might exist, and then not get it, because why would a skill exist that no one would use.

He can copy almost any passive skill, because they're always on. So he'd assume that skills are always there for the taking.
