Same sex marriage is still very much not legal in Japan so I don't know why you would bring this up. They basically have the equivalence to "Domestic Partnership" that places like the US had/have which is essentially marriage without actually being called "marriage" (which is also dumb cause the entire premise spawns from not wanting to step on religious people's toes despite marriage being a political/civil institution before it was ever a religious one).

Why is Yuri hitting Nemo like it's the most natural thing in the world? I feel bad for Nemo. She doesn't deserve to be hurt 💔

Nemo had it coming and she knew it which is why she offered (not like Yuri needed permission). Yuri was mortified by the experience, she literally disassociated and went into a fugue state when Nemo basically forced her hand. The only reason Tomoko isn't joining Yuri in knocking some sense into that little dumbass's head is because she's still shell shocked from seeing her brother get man-handled and losing his innocence.

I'm genuinely at a loss for Yoshida's behavior. She's simultaneously "pure" to the point of thinking two guys kissing gets them pregnant (or that kissing in general gets people pregnant) but then gives a flat "Yeah, duh" to Kii-chan when she mentions same sex marriage not being legal yet. Like of course same sex marriage isn't legal, what does that have to do with dudes swapping saliva and getting knocked up? Such a bizarre juxtaposition of childlike naivete and soul crushing jaded realism.

I really hope this series continues into college. Not a lot of series can make the leap from high school to college, and even most of the ones that could still don’t do it, but I really want this one to. It’s got a cast that can support it.
