Im a bit confused by dahlia this chapter. She seems to be genuine in her claim that she isnt actually spying, but then tries to shift all the punishment for spying onto herself, seeming fearful for real. Is it just that she actually believes frost to be a heartless monster who will kill them even if shes not a spy or was she lying and got cold feet?

Also im really looking forward to violets actual plan. As it stands i see no wqy she isnt a horrible personnunless shes being exploited by a greater power, but i feel like "capitalist asshole who also wants revenge" would be too simple of an explanation for a villain in this series.
Thanks for the translation, though it seems you uploaded it twice?

Aside from Clarice's words, this must be by far the most measured and patient the Black Knight has ever seemed to all of these girls. They're all panicky but it feels a little odd no one's leaned on this, even in their internal monologues.

Aside from raising his (her) voice, the Black Knight's spoken plainly and rationally and is actually considering Clarice's suggestion (or at least not visibly turning her down). This is already far beyond the maids' image of the Knight, isn't it?

Basically the standard trope of determined character can tank all the torture for days, but grab a random bystander and threaten to torture them instead and they'll break instantly.

She doesn't have full faith Frost will believe her innocence, after all she understand why Frost would be suspicious of her.
And because she understand Frost's suspicion, she was willing to accept any unreasonable punishment since if she's in Frost's shoe she wouldn't believe her easily either.

But the same doesn't apply to Lyla and the other 2, if these innocent people get punished for this, Dahlia would blame herself for it. Adding bonus emotional damage from her past with Violet.

Lyla be channeling so much of that 'girlfailure at a glance, but the next thing you know she's by your side comforting you and pushing you forward' 'clumsy older sis' energy.

Both. She is spying (Violet confirmed that in ch 10) but the spying does not seem to be malicious and is more so just keeping tabs. However, Dahlia does believe Frost to be a monster, both from what she has witnessed and from Violet's own tale. So it's very inline for her to freak out when the other maids jump in to take the blame for her actions.

What is Dahlia even reporting to Violet? She hasn't seen Black Knight without her armor, she doesn't know what the Black Knight is doing in her free time (or military spending or whatever in that matter), hell I bet she hasn't seen the Black Knight except when she started working and in this chapter.

Not like Dahlia can negotiate with the Black Knight so what even is the point?

New ship is a go. Although I certainly didn't expect that incest subtext in Dahlia and Violet's relationship.

Regardless, Clarice continues to be the MVP by recklessly rushing headfirst into things with little worry about the consequences. We need more heroines like her in Yuri.
