Old man snickering after saying "slaves" really just sums up the mind of most (if not all) isekai manga authors. Fucking hell :shamihuh:

I mean, yes. That slavery would exists in a fantasy/medieval or whatevere isekai setting is certainly plausible. But when it goes down the sex slave/harem path, it's usually shit.

At the end of the day it's all about execution. If it's done well, actually exploring the nuances of such a society could be a good read. If it goes down the SEGGS ONLY route... nah.
Even worse, if all the slaves bought instantly fall in love with the mc... like wtf are you doing author.

Let me put it like this. If you were sent to another world, and slavery was very common, would you buy a slave? In such a world, and if your life is one the line and the slave is combat potential, you might decide to buy a slave. But for most people, you'd be conflicted about it at the very least....

Anyway, THIS trash manga doesn't seem to be one who would explore the moral conflicts of such a scenario. Here, it's just an excuse for more pussy....

Latest volume cover has a female centaur....

If MC ends up fucking her, I want to see how he'll be able to without being crushed to death. :wooow:

Not that I disagree with your sentiments, but what exactly are you expecting from an author that cooked up that absolute pathetic farce of a legal system? Of course the setting has a truely subpar slavery system that is only matched or even exceeded by their governmental and legal systems.

Author seems to be seed running the worst generic tropes they can half-ass together. Honestly makes you wonder if it is just another example of AI slop here to enshitify our lives.

O . o
From behind while standing on a stool or raised surface like every other desperate pervert who decided a horse, cow, or camel was an acceptable sexual partner. And as they are mares, they will be truely disappointed if he ever makes the effort.

OTOH if the genders were reversed, let's just say the human half of that pairing would have a good chance of servicing the shaft with both ends, after it passed thrue what was left of their digestive tract, and other internal organs.

I just realized that this have at least 10 volumes, like why?
Other better manga can't even reach that long
Holy shit, 10!? That's crazy, there are so many manga that are so much more enjoyable, make more sense or have better sex stuff. From what I remember from this one (I think it hasn't even been a month since I read it and already forgot) it's super dumb and MC is stupid

Do people not realize that slavery was very normal in the past and in effect more or less still is today? Not trying to defend the overused writing practis of using slavery as a gimmick to push subservient females on the protagonist, but slavery in a medieval fantasy world. In fact if we were to pursue any kind of realism or logic at all then slavery would be part of every single instance of this kind of literature unless author explicitly has created an in universe reason against slavery.

Where there is a discrepancy in power exploitation will inevitably follow. And in a fantasy university where some are practically demigods compared to others how can there not be?

Still horrible though.

MC was talking about how the Slave skill mindbreaks them, so he's going to avoid triggering it by not scolding or praising any of his.

Wuh-
Wha-
Weren't we portraying that other hero as a villain for selling the princess doll essentially as a slave and being both extremely rapey and a literal rapist a few chapters ago?
And we're doing not just slaves now, not criminal slaves, not slaves for battle, but just...a slavery system where the only use for slaves is sex? And the mc isn't forced or even persuaded to buy them?
Wow; there is, of all isekai I've read with their stupid slavery shit, zero justification for this being a good plot point or this in any way putting the protagonist in a good light.
Well, this is a waste.

It makes sense in hindsight, but when she mentioned a lucky bag, I was expecting some goods, not a person :worry:

At least that aspect is different (though I'd be surprised if it becomes more than a footnote in the long run). Usually they just force obedience or can cause pain, but also being used as essentially a drug to promote "good" behavior is a different take.

Yes, a bunch of stuff the MC didn't do? What's the issue?

Let's just read off page 6 of this chapter:
"[Slavery Skill] A Virus-Like Skill forcibly imposed upon slaves; the effect causes the slave to feel immense bliss when obeying someone they recognize as their master; but if they resist, they'll suffer hellish torment; the skill activates with the highest priority regardless of the slave's own will"
In comparison to other depictions of slavery in isekai, this is very, very straightforwardly fucked up. It is explicitly stated that slaves are mainly used for pleasure, which is pretty hard to consent to normally when someone's wellbeing is at the whims of their master, but especially in this case when we have magic factored in. They literally bring the two centaur slaves out naked for god's sake, and mention that not only were they essentially caught and trafficked, but centaurs have their own culture that they recognize. Is the protagonist as bad as the other hero? No, not in the sense of openly acting against the norms of the world he has found himself in, not in a very straightforward, black and white way; but compare this to how he treats Nina, and what originally feels kind of cute starts to feel increasingly uncomfortable; despite Nina's wishes, the protagonist refuses to let her die, or "die" on her own terms (at least exactly the way she would prefer) despite the insistence that he sees her as a person, not a robot. In the same way, he assumes the antmen are just...fine with serving people without asking further about it, or asking their opinion? He just...accepts the centaurs as slaves, but doesn't attempt to understand them or ask them what they actually want as opposed to assuming they would prefer not to be mindbroken. These are all "nice" and "kind" things, but in reality he is disregarding the actual desires of those he believes he is doing a favor for. He cares more about his own internal perception that he is a good person than actually being a good person. He believes he knows what other people need better than they themselves know; which is pretty damn full of himself for someone who is supposed to be "humble". Common isekai protag skill issue amped up by 11.
