Ah yes, We Have Princess Bibliophile At Home.

It's short, it's sweet, the plot is a liiiitttlle bit stupid and predictable, but it's a very formulaic genre. The characters are likable while the villainess still succeeds at seeming to believe her behavior is disruptive. Cough-Villainess who will go down in history-Cough. Solid 7/10, good popcorn VI.

Tbh I'm looking at the titles this volume and I'm not feeling especially hopeful. In the past I would have believed that we shouldn't judge a manga by its title, but they have gotten so literal that they just give away the entire story in a sentence

And yeah the little sister thing was unnecessary. It literally adds nothing except checking off the petty revenge (but not on purpose uwu) box

It was a pretty damn good romance oneshot, though, although I would've cut out the little sister part, that felt rather forced.

to be fair, the og term is 'akuyaku' is more literally translated as 'evil duty/role' so being terrible person is not required, just being seen as opposition to the 'protagonist/heroine'

at this point they're going by quick 'does it look like a duck' test rather than by FL's personality (noble girl, engaged, 'heroine', engagement breaking attempt) to allow for people to make whatever twist they want

dw guys, I thought that the last few pages were happening in front of her parents and stepsister, but the couches are different. I didn't think the flashbacks/exposition was a good transition to a different place but hey, at least it's not awkward.

You know they are saying all kinds of stuff at them, but you don't see any of it because of the lovebirds are in their own world (though really it's just to expedite things and cut out the fat in a limited number of pages).

I was fine with everything that went down in the chapter, but — that "student who was told to switch seats" twist killed me.
At this rate they would have even justified Ashley farting was just a ploy to purify the neighbouring country's air and establish amicable relations with them.

I like this, the drama is quick to wrap up, the MC doesn't have to brood over the misunderstanding for long, their relationship is rather sweet, and there's no glazing from the audience about them.
