Answering that would be extremely spoileryShe went till the end, I wonder 🤔 how many others had to go there for the will?
I really recommend it if you have the means. I'm currently in the middle of a re-read and the author and translator did an amazing job it.Dang. I wanna buy the books for this series.
Climbing the towering staircase is a metaphor used in this series as 'The person has died and has ascended to Heaven', hence the joke here is that in one of the holiest places in the country, while trying to climb a normal staircase made her almost get on the permenant one. Its less of a rumor, and more of a fact at this point as what happened, plus especially the archduke canidates from the other duchies witnessed of how much she struggled to get to that point anyways, the teachers would only be sharing the conclusion at that point. Plus she's not in any condition to explain anything at that point.I like how the ending notes that she "nearly climbed" the Divine staircase in the end, but in reality she did climb it. I'm assuming that because the teachers found her passed out and close by the staircase they had that misunderstanding and spread that rumor instead and Myne never clarified it.
Different staircases. Rozemyne didn't climb the towering stairway.I like how the ending notes that she "nearly climbed" the Divine staircase in the end, but in reality she did climb it. So from what I understand, from this comment and the other one is that Myne just imagined herself climbing and descending the Spiral/Towering staircase from fatigue and the imagery was all supposed to be metaphorical and she didn't actually reach the end of the path but passed out on a normal staircase far down the path instead.Different staircases. No, there was a real staircase. The place she reached, with the big plaza and the ivory tree, is real, not a metaphor. So from what I understand, from this comment and the other one is that Myne just imagined herself climbing and descending the Spiral/Towering staircase from fatigue and the imagery was all supposed to be metaphorical and she didn't actually reach the end of the path but passed out on a normal staircase far down the path instead.
No, "climbing the towering staircase" (not divine) is a metaphor for dying: something akin to going to heaven, thus, going way up, thus, climbing a towering staircase. What she climbed was just a big staircase (after climbing a lot of smaller ones) to get to her stone and fainted on the way back. They probably don't even know yet that she reached that big staircase in the end. As far as they know, she could have just gotten her stone from where they found her and fainted because of the mana depletion. So from what I understand, from this comment and the other one is that Myne just imagined herself climbing and descending the Spiral/Towering staircase from fatigue and the imagery was all supposed to be metaphorical and she didn't actually reach the end of the path but passed out on a normal staircase far down the path instead.

... okay, so, my left when facing the entrance coming back, or my left on the way in?? This is why I still can't tell left from right.Make sure to take the left path on your way back
