also like, shouldnt they be able to tell its a holy site? lmaoThere are Celestial Carpenters working there, did they not wonder why he wasn't struck down when he put up the torii, and therefore shouldn't be trying to demolish it?
There's not really any mention of what actually constitutes the start/end of the competition, so it could be that the heavens don't immediately punish a disqualification and only smite the loser once the contest is properly over (which it wasn't yet, as the other team hadn't finished building their temple for "celestial grading" yet, and I doubt it's just a contest of speed)There are Celestial Carpenters working there, did they not wonder why he wasn't struck down when he put up the torii, and therefore shouldn't be trying to demolish it?
Edit: for anyone confused, they said that since they are Celestial Carpenters, anyone competing against them in construction will be directly judged by the gods. So, if he committed blasphemy, like they claimed, during a challenge overseen by god he should have been struck by lightning right there.
The mangaka just adapts the LN/WN, which is even more absurd than the manga.guys in the comments might be thinking more about the plot than mangaka himself
I m half convinced mangaka just writes prompts to ai to give a feel good plot and just draws it himself
Specifically how much more absurd? The mangaka just adapts the LN/WN, which is even more absurd than the manga.

It's been a while, so I don't remember it great, and it may have just been that these plot points that have been spread out over years now all hit me in ~20 minutes, but everything felt ramped up. The most absurd point is a massive spoiler, but if you're curiousSpecifically how much more absurd?
