This chapter seems to be talking in plot devices. Someone's gonna die? He's going to be betrayed? They're gonna fall in love and be torn apart?

Why is the trope of sharing personal failures with strangers so common in manga? Why would I reveal such a personal history, even superficially, to a random person? Who convinced writers that this is normal behavior for men?
I do agree that it tends to be overused or worse, done poorly half the time, but it's not really that unrealistic, why it happens varies a little.

Some people are just surprisingly comfortable telling others about their failures, tragedies and mental issues.

In cases like this some people can be open about their issues if it's to not having misunderstandings.

And what you said about strangers? You'd be surprised how some people can be open with you exactly because you're a stranger, you don't know them, have no skin in the game, there's no respect to lose or damage to cause by telling you their failures.

Really, sometimes if a person think you're someone who will actually listen without judging and condemning then they're capable of telling you anything, especially because sometimes the people who would judge us the hardest and condem us without hesitation are exactly the ones closest to us.

Sometimes people just want someone to acknowledge their suffering,  anyone.

Can you feel that in the air can you taste it

That's right with my judgement I declare that IT death flags

He agrees

SPOIL PLS
Refer to what she said at the last page. She holds a very, very deep grudge against Eligion for basically massacring her hometown IIRC. Eligion didn't commit those acts with villainous intent but I forgot if this arc elaborated that part. Eligion is also not aware she's a survivor of X hometown and X hometown is basically his trigger word for mental breakdown because he's just as traumatized as Kanaria is. No one but other heroes stand a chance against heroes and so she would use that trauma to throw him off. Once he's out of the game, almost nobody else can stop the demon king's revival and their overall forces except for the sages, who are the second strongest after the heroes, like Nyau.

Long story short, Kanaria fucks up the timelines by reviving the demon king and strengthening his army. Gorgan is in cahoots with her. Both of them wield puppet swords, basically hero killer weapons since they were specifically made to be hard counters against the Hero skill "SAVE".

Decent LN overall. I enjoyed reading this last year along with the shield hero WN.

Hey. I know this sounds weird to you, but this is not how men function, especially those who have been through a lot in life. The MC in this story was betrayed on multiple levels and faced death several times. One important lesson he should have focused on is not trusting people easily. Not trusting = being cautious, and not what idiots in this world say: Not trusting = a bad person.

Weird? More like dumb, sexist, narrow-minded, honestly, I could use a lot of words, some more colorful than others

Newsflash, you wasn't elected as representative of all man so you don't get to speak for all

It's actually kinda funny you think you get to tell others how men function :v

Really, you must be young and naive or old and stubborn to have such simplistically view of masculinity

You also lose points because you're talking as if you need to be a man to have the views you mentioned, you don't, kinda funny really that you think woman couldn't easily have same beliefs, and before you try to fix it and say you didn't mean that, yes you did, it's why you specified how man in particular works, which means woman are more trusting

Ironic since on average women are less trusting than men in many aspects, to the point if asked if she had to be alone in the a forest with a man or a bear they would choose a bear

Also particularly funny that you're trying tell other men how men should work, shit I'm probably fucking older than you :v

Anyway, I'm rambling, point is that you're objectively wrong and you need go expand your horizons, I hope it's just lack of knowledge rather than fault of being terminally online

Yeah, but his point still stands. Not taking his gender into account, the experiences he's had throughout his life should've influenced the way he behaves in the present time. Not only did he go through horrible things in the dungeon, being betrayed over and over again due to making the wrong choices with the two girls caught in the loop with him, his entire existence before being tossed into the dungeon would leave ANYONE with a sense of distrust towards most people, especially strangers. Also, not for anything but suddenly bringing up your OH SO TRAGIC story to earn sympathy and trust is off putting as hell. Survival is the name of the game, and it's a game he should be an expert on. By this point he should really be strong and wise enough to survive without relying entirely on loop knowledge. Remember, most of the people he ever knew were pieces of shit, and even the ones he considers "decent" like the vampire girl and the hero girl can go off the edge and turn into psycho killers at the drop of a hat. No reason to believe he can trust the hero and company without question, especially when some of the party members have shown clear animosity towards him.

I still gotta narrow my eyes before I go simping, either she's faking sympathy or she's gonna get Ageha'd.
