Best chapter so far. I love Sophia. Her crippling awkwardness and social anxiety is relatable and hilarious. All of her talk of needing to man up to have lesbian sex, had me rolling. The self punch to the face was the cherry on top. Chef's kiss
I love Sophia simply because you just know some young lesbian, still unsure about why she feels the way she does (and reading adult stuff she isn't allowed to buy herself), is reading this for the first time and thinking "oh god it's me". And feeling less bad about herself as a result.
Even the trashiest works imaginable can instantly become culturally important art when they can mean something to someone in a time of need.
(I mean, said theoretical young lesbian has a wealth of better options in fiction for exploring those feelings. But c'mon, we were all adolescents once -- teens gravitate to wet trash like flies.)
