Seems I accidentally made the story more interesting for myself by mixing up Flora and Muriel in the initial bullying scene, meaning during my read Muriel was the heroine and Flora just replaced Deirde as the villainess, making the twist at the end a bit more surprising considering the title and beginning synopsis.

Love how she played herself, rather then STAYING AWAY from bullying or doing her research on WHY Phillip was around the "new girl" she instead saw her as a obstacle and tried to "Frame her" only why would she push her down the stairs in jealous over HER OWN BROTHER (I always LOVE when the "HEROINES" pull that stunt, hoping one day one CRIPPLES themselves STUPIDLY cause they assumed "plot armor" would kick in, I think I saw one where a "HEROINE" did that and killed themselves stupidly! The "fake wound Gambit" is risky ESPECIALLY as MANY OTOME have the FMC reincarnate because the VILLAINESS was dumb enough to "take ACTUAL POISON" like a CERTAIN Reincarnated as a Stepmother story had it's VILLAINESS STEPMOM "go out" so the FMC can incarnate into her body)

And Flora's behavior reminds me ALOT of OTHER Otome stories where the "Heroine" turns into the Villainess 10x in how horrible their behavior gets all while STILL spouting and acting like "they are still the stories HEROINE"

Overwhelmingly (or maybe just recently) most of the stories are those who are PLACED within the title of "villainess", rather than any actual evil machinations of the MC. Whether it be here where they simply inhabit the body but act completely differently, or in other occasions where the lady was shoehorned to be labeled a villain but tends to be misunderstood or simply have been blamed for something they didn't do.

I mean, I get it, an actual villainess who does heinous shit - fluff writers don't actually want to write that. But the assignment doesn't seem to be met, to me. But it's more of a preference thing really - the expectations of the word/usage. Since in this case it's not the literal word, it's rather a genre-coining word.
