And then Wario crashed Waluigi and Rosalina's date. Not out of any jealousy or such, but rather to get as much treasure as possible from the wedding Locale only for it to be revealed it had been a ploy by Waluigi and Wario all along. First for Wario to steal the treasure from the temple and second for Waluigi to trap Luigi, the one he loathed beyond all in the temples trap mechanisms. Unwittingly releasing the sealed spirit imprisoned in the temple millenia ago who took hold of Rosalina to use her power to expand his reign accross the cosmos. And in an uneasy alliance pushed by a little floating mascot character with later plot significance and such towards the end of the journey and a connection to the Cosmic Starlord... Wario, Waluigi alongside Mario and Luigi set off on a journey to recover the 7 Cosmic Star Fragments and seal the spirit away, while trying to achieve their own personal goals along the way.
