I'm kinda speechless with how this chapter went. I just really was not expecting to be hit with the, Oh so that's where we're going bat so many times.

And now I'm crying for different reasons over this chapter. What the hell, why do such good stories have to be so painful

Anticipation, excitement, suspense, doubt, disappointment, disillusion, hurt, despair, regret. What an rollercoaster of emition Kasumi experienced.

I have to say I love the use of lighting in this chapter. I felt like I was watching a stage play, especially on page 19.

the folio work and design motifs on the chapter title page make it feel like set design, too.
The artist has a fantastic handle on value & contrast, as well as composition within each frame, for sure.

This series is incredible. It's so engaging in so little chapters. This chapter is fantastic. We've gone through three chapters of Kasumi bearing her heart out in those letters and also her fear and shame of showing that heart outside of those letters. She wears the brooch over her own heart, a public display of her and her sister's affection, and gets nothing but her heart broken. The panel Taw posted really just hits so hard...she takes the brooch off, hiding her "true" feelings once more, but now she has holes in her heart. Not only that, but we also learn why she puts so much pressure on herself to get good grades and oh my god, this girl is in so much pain and every panel hurts 😭
