Never before have I read a manga series where the fucking introduction is over 6 chapters long. The sheer amount of repetition is ungodly. I don't know if Ougi (the artist) is being constrained the works of a new mangaka, but holy shit is this extremely bad from a story-telling perspective. It's like each chapter is written in such a way that the reader needs reminding of what was in the last chapter; which is inexcusable for MONTHLY manga chapters. I may be a cynical shit and think lowly of people in general, let alone the average manga reader, but god damn does the intro go on and on and on. And everyone being introduced at least twice is just...

But yeah, I'm still going to keep on because the premise, while well trodden, generic, and borderline boring, it still caught my interest. Plus, the art IS really nice. Shockingly high quality artwork, though I would expect that from a monthly series (released bi-weekly in half chapters, so my hunch was indeed correct).

I want to see where this goes, but goddamn is the opener one of the biggest fucking slogs I've ever had to deal with in manga.

As an aside, the translator is ungodly for sorting through the mess that is trying to make sure each character's dialogue matches who is speaking. The dialogue is honestly a bit of a mess (from what I've seen of the RAWs), and I feel sorry for both the artist and whoever translates this lmao
