Never before have I read a manga series where the fucking introduction is over 6 chapters long. The sheer amount of repetition is ungodly. I don't know if Ougi (the artist) is being constrained the works of a new mangaka, but holy shit is this extremely bad from a story-telling perspective. It's like each chapter is written in such a way that the reader needs reminding of what was in the last chapter; which is inexcusable for MONTHLY manga chapters. I may be a cynical shit and think lowly of people in general, let alone the average manga reader, but god damn does the intro go on and on and on. And everyone being introduced at least twice is just...

But yeah, I'm still going to keep on because the premise, while well trodden, generic, and borderline boring, it still caught my interest. Plus, the art IS really nice. Shockingly high quality artwork, though I would expect that from a monthly series (released bi-weekly in half chapters, so my hunch was indeed correct).

I want to see where this goes, but goddamn is the opener one of the biggest fucking slogs I've ever had to deal with in manga.

As an aside, the translator is ungodly for sorting through the mess that is trying to make sure each character's dialogue matches who is speaking. The dialogue is honestly a bit of a mess (from what I've seen of the RAWs), and I feel sorry for both the artist and whoever translates this lmao

At this point, the author should just commission a full-size real doll of the MC and ride it...
That's not a power fantasy for readers to relate to, that's a gospel singing the praises of a perfect hero for them to worship.

lame and stupid manga. The MC is always super nice and kind so even though he’s kicked out of his family, other people instantly swoop in and take care of him. It just takes the piss out of the struggle he should have endured.

Good artwork, but character personalities are Mary Sue and Jane Doe, while the MC is super nice Shota boy that everyone loves even though he’s 18 years old, probably femboy, and has 0 notatable flaws

Reading it further, it’s clearly one of those fantasies where you leave a job that can’t replace you. My problem is what set the MC up to be fired other than le sexism??

Boring

Tl;Dr: pretty bad right off the bat, only saving grace being the art.

Something is just very off with the way the story flows in this manga, things are happening but nothing appears to really matter or make you invested in the story or people relationships. Maybe its because we're still somewhat going through the character introductions (even though its 11th chapter on a monthly manga???).

I may be a bit harsh, considering this is a 1st work of this author (at least only 1 shows up on Mangadex when I checked), but it needs A LOT of work and I'm a bit surprised it passed editorial department in its current state (or that its rated 8.4/10 at the moment).

If I was the editor, I'd structure start of the story like this:

Chapter 1: Show Idol sisters becoming top idols with MCs help, show off some of the things MC did (in a naration format likely, to save time) while also showing some of the friction between him and the sisters. End Chapter 1 with the condemnation scene. Maybe include a short scene between MC and Grandmother (but might be a bit too much).
Chapter 2: MC transfers to the new school (show scene with heroine #1 fawning over him in tsundere manner too), finish it off with MC saving the cover heroine (the black haired "ice queen").
Chapter 3: They meet a school and their friendship starts.

I'd think this would make you at least a little bit more invested in their relationship.

Oh, it's one of those... Harmless nu-male JP shota protag surrounded by pretty girls who will engage in Yuri bait and he will blush like the beta Bob he is seeing them, but will never get a taste for himself.
