Unreliable illustrator strikes again. Jelly's great at acting human but she's such a goober.

I like this far more than edgelord isekai where the audience is told or shown how silly the character is but it has zero plot consequences. Jelly isn't a devious person so showing her with a fixed or saintly face could be accurate but would hide how much her goofiness oozes out. Funny that a holy slime fused with human flesh is a more believable character than trite two-faced masterminds.

It makes it more thrilling and believable when she really is a stonefaced monster saint: "Give... Leon back." 👁️👁️

Part of its tail, and one eye, with more scars on its snout, limbs, and chest. Definitely sounds like a dragon that was "repelled". I wonder if the monster tamer was somehow able to communicate with the dragon that Leon is their mutual enemy.

I like how people are surprised about the effectiveness of her signature move, "Hmph Hmph", when so far, we haven't seen a ceiling to that skill (quite to the contrary, in fact, so far the only thing that has ever been stopping her was the risk of humans finding out about her secret identity)

She obviously is neither a normal slime nor person, we're still having to find out just how special she is

Gotta be Sui - Rimuru would've taught their lineage how to live amongst humans better, while Sui definitely would've passed down their gluttony and love of good cooking, along with their sheer innocence.

I think it's a combination of that, and her being a special slime.
The village Elder is most likely a king slime, he even has a "crown", and it seems like she was his pupil.
The only creature we have ever really seen her fear is humans, and she lived in a forest where there was a lot of corpses, so I doubt it was a low level place she was living, and she seemed to live rather carefree despite being skittish.
