Rihito really is too good for him, more than anything I think Noa doesn't need a boyfriends but a supportive GROUP (not single person) who will be there to help her; not be there for her to completely rely on like Rihito, she need to change herself. From the looks of it, we're not anywhere near that path, and Rihito will start dating her and it'll only get worse.

That's been expanded to two people - the beginnings of a group - precisely because Rihito became friends with her as well. Now Rihito and Negiemon share the load. But they are both in perfect agreement that Noa should be making even more friends.

Who is it who keeps telling Tachibana to simply talk to Noa and form a genuine human connection rather than obsess over her from afar? Who just spent most of a chapter trying to convince his sister to give Noa a chance? Her previously ironclad work persona has started to soften already, which has made Noa more approachable to her coworkers, too.

Besides, Noa was already monopolizing Rihito's time and exhibiting fierce jealousy towards his female acquaintances before any of this happened. She was already working herself into emotional downward spirals over the fear that Rihito will get tired of her shit and cut ties. I don't see how formally dating Rihito is going to make anything worse than it already is.

I suspect it will bring her at least a little peace of mind, since she will understand herself a little better. That doesn't sound entirely unlike progress.

Reni, the one that constantly disrespects her own older brother by verbally abusing her own brother and his friend knowing full well that his friend cannot take it, the one constantly rejecting Noa's honest attempts to befriend her with insults, that Reni? SHE knows boundaries?
Are we even reading the same series like...?

I get not liking who your sibling hangs out with, but directly insulting someone you don't even know just because they hang out with your sibling is disrespectful behavior even by westoid standards

I've no clue what half these comments are about. Anyways. Finally the manga getting to what I was talking about before. Rihito genuinely has a better life thanks to Noa getting him out of his comfort zone so much and it is super nice to see it directly mentioned. Now all that is missing is seeing things on Noa's side, which is riiight about to happen by the looks of it. She already improved a bit over the chapters, reducing her number of messages, trying her best to make things fun for Rihito too and probably by now realizing her issues and what her feelings probably are. If from here she starts spending time with more than just Negi and Rihito thats good progress imo.

I'm pretty sure she didn't really have negiemon there for her like rihito is there for her, rihito is there to listen to her complaints 24/7 while negie is the type to ignore her messages for hours then respond all at once

It's not necessary to indulge Noa's every whim to be friends with her. On the contrary - Noa can't set appropriate boundaries by herself, so her friends have to be able to do that for her without being resentful of her for it, or the friendship isn't long for this world.

Even Rihito sets boundaries with her. He just has a SSS+ in the Patience attribute, where Negiemon has maybe an A. He only sets boundaries when he deems it necessary, which isn't anywhere close to as frequently as Reni (who has a D at best) thinks he should, or for that matter, most of the readers.
