From what I can tell it's showing the current political powderkeg and rising tensions across the continent, setting the stage that Theo is about to walk into in Liaisons.
flemy would like to remind people that foggy brain can be equaled to being drunk and didn't honestly expected someone to answer him

basically, ignore drunk me, I'll get back to this chapter part when I'm not under influence of alcoholic beverage.

I recommend reading the omake/extra and chapter 39.
so far part 1 is leading to being librarian, part 2 is the training. so part 3 is we are no longer trainee. It is dealing with bigger things.

it mainly confusing since we are using to developing characters a group at a time, but now we stepped into a different area.

now it just a bigger ideas on each races and mindset.

Hyron leader looks like he has muscles under his clothes too, and if Kuran really is Sedona's relative, Kuran is probably fit too

So, seems like beefiness actually is a requirement for rulers and Liaisons really is perfect for Theo who can speak sincerely with his finely trained muscles (and being likely the physically strongest with mana)

Okay, I know this might be silly but the name of the Lord Father Ahviis Pahpa immediately made me think of Habemus Papam. I literally blurted it out after reading his name 😭

Anyway, just by looking at the leaders I can already tell Theo’s got a lot waiting for him. Can’t wait to see him face each one spectacularly.

kogill's surname is the same as Togid's : 'elgasmuth' in the official translation, so probably relative

Gods, I really need to reread this series while making a set of notes/reference guide for the characters and cultures. Like, I recognize the names of them, but I always end up forgetting who is who.
