If it had happened deep inside the dungeon, with no witnesses, the jerks could've been burned to ash and their deaths written off as probably due to monster attacks. They confronted the MC in front of a security camera, which means they're either stupid, or confident that their political influence can get any incriminating evidence suppressed. But I'm assuming this world has S-rank authorities who can be sent to brutally punish MC if he goes around outside of the dungeon threatening guild employees or politicians, regardless of whether they had it coming.
If this world works like in other cases, a few S-rank guys would stand no chance against an SSS-rank. He could probably do whatever he wants.

That’s a great way to prove it happened. Admittedly this isn’t American law, but erasing evidence gets you absolutely reamed generally.
That’s under the caveat that it’s proven that evidence gets tampered, or that it even existed.

Money is a very effective lubricant of morals. That’s why asia (outside SG) has issues of corruption everywhere.

This manga never fails to disappoint. In every chapter.

Now we have literal murderhobos sons of (not really) importart politicians, willing to do murder and rape in broad daylight. And people saying "oh noes you actually made them faint what are we gonna do"

And not only that, but the MC is the biggest disappointment, as always. His thoughts are... alien, mostly because the author is shit and the story sucks.

His reasoning is... "hey I want to hide and live "peacefully" and be forgotten... but oh these people messed with me. If they keep doing that we will go to court". Something like that maybe? Which of course would make the whole "hide" part pointless...

Like, does he realise that something could happen to the girl the very moment he stops looking?

But still, in a world where nobody recognizes him and a glorified paper pusher can erase his hunter license and such, what am I surprised about?

This slop is SO bad.

I mean, won't that guild employee just delete the camera footage, back up the dirt bags that he attacked them and have charges placed against him? Like that's what would happen in the real world at least haha.
The author has pretty much shown the organization that manages the dungeons to be riddled with corrupt individuals (MC's ex-girl friend's new beau who casually used his authority to revoke MC's card, ex-girl friends bestie who also abused her position to blacklist MC, male employee who was more concerned about Councilman's son rather than any crimes commited at MC) to the point that one short haired woman who works for them seems to be the only honest employee around. With that many corrupt individuals working for them its easily to believe the rot goes all the way to the top otherwise they wouldn't be so casual in flaunting their lack of ethics.

At this point even if that male employee doesn't erase the footage, HIS superiors are just as likely to cover it up anyways based on what we already know about their management (ex-gf's new bf is management remember). Everyone thinks Nomura was stupid for attacking them at a location with security cameras; however I think he just didn't give any fucks about surveillance because he knows the dungeon organization is corrupt and would have his back covered for any illegal acts.

Don't know what the authors plot will show us but if Nomura is actually held accountable it'll feel pretty dissonant to me from everything we've seen shown so far from about this organization and its people.

Once again, we have a MC who is positioned to be a Law Giver, but who will surely instead fuck a monkey, allowing the state to act unjustly.

But then they’d have to account for the missing three minutes!

If ever there were series that should be putting out chapters on a weekly basis, it should be series based on novels. I mean the damn story is basically written, just grind out decent art.

It’s not like it has to be super detailed either, just have a unique design and personality. Instead we have to wait over a month for cg assisted digital work that spends half that time making the waifu look super cute… and I do appreciate that effort, but still.

I think I just hate I read the 400 chapters ahead, and have to wait for new chapters, or for this to get into the double digits of the novel chapters…

NGL I wish my parents named me something cool like "Fire Lotus". That would rock.
Instead I get a name that means "He who likes horses" in Greek. =/ Now, I have nothing against Uma musumes or Centaurea from Everyday Monstergirls, however...

his dad is also a dumb politician and underestimate mc, so he order his other son who also working as quite decent adventurer to kill mc, but the moment one of the son subordinate overheard mc talk with one of the guild master from the capital, the son decided to escape and cut ties with his family since he know mc is actually a big shot, while also decided to not become politician like his dad and focus on adventuring

soon the dad and the stupid son got their comeuppance after the mc come into contact with the higher position in the government
typical corrupt governments smh

The look at something and have it explode panels were fucking hilarious. We need more of that kind of flex here. Nice work also with the air bending tactic. Always wondered why wind manipulators were considered weaker amongst magic users when they are perfect assassins.

Also…Jesus Christ when will the MC finally get recognized for who he is???? If anyone read the ln, does it happen like two to three arcs from now? Cause I don’t know if I can stand everyone constantly shitting on him and MC not doing anything about it. Not even a flash of a business card, or anything.

Thanks for the translation!

Is this just gonna be him constantly running into people who SHOULD know who he is and getting 180'd on the consequences of fucking with him?
He's gonna end up running into the prime minister of Japan and the pm is somehow gonna not know who he is.

You guys are putting more brain cells into a manga forum than the author put into making a plot

Even if you say that, the camera is basically right outside the building/entrance where hundreds/thousands of adventurers can testify it exists or that they’ve been seen on it. Court records using said cameras probably exist. The amount of evidence they’ve have to hide to pull that off without bribing a judge (which can also easily backfire in its own way) is staggering and even if they get railroaded they just have to find a political enemy to present the evidence and court transcripts of the openly corrupt judge to to create a scandal against the judge and the VIP.

What are y'all even talking about.

Nobody is going to admit “we have erased that evidence lol” openly.

Nobody is going to feed the authorities some obvious large lie “there has never been a camera in the first place”.

Nobody is going to feed the authorities some obvious small lie “these particular three minutes are conveniently missing”.

They'd go with something mundane and believable. “This camera has been malfunctioning for a few hours of that day, we have the written statements from all three of our tech guys and from their immediate superiors, you can also study the faulty hardware”. (And, of course, the investigation is corrupt as well and thus would not put the statements and the hardware under too much scrutiny, but they would absolutely need that A+ mark on that homework on the plausible deniability as a base for their own suppression of evidence.)

Bro makes 20 billion a month, he could probably buy the councilman's entire family and it wouldn't make a dent in his profits lmao
