Multiple people he has to protect, there at a disadvantage, also forget about the POISON on the arrows? He makes ONE mistake, someone dies. So for now he has to play nice. Remember they don't know his "familiar" isn't an Owl but a "Half Vampire" so he still has a CARD to play. Right now the Villain is BEING arrogant, which works to his advantage. He has NO reason to believe he'll keep his word, after all, he allowed them to walk into "enemy territory" that didn't DECLARE themselves enemies, and of course the fact he made the decision WITHOUT the other chiefs means this is a COUP on his part. So he's acting ALONE with only his loyalists. But He acted Dishonorably by not declaring being on the side of the demons, and even if they made the deal, MC and co should have been made aware of it, there's a reason you DECLARE your intentions, sneak attacking ENEMIES like this may work out well short term, but long term, it makes you untrustworthy because "Sacred Hospitality has been violated" got to ask yourself if GAINING a bad reputation long term for a short term edge is worth it! (Just look at the Red Wedding, it wrecked HAVOC on the Frays, Boltons and Lannisters reputations after the fact, yeah they CRIPPLED the Stark forces and KILLED Robb Stark. But it ensured NO ONE will trust them AGAIN, Frays especially as they got HUNTED down by Stark Holdouts, AND assured the Boltons despite CLAIMING Wardenship of the North would ALWAYS be seen as the dogshit POS they always were, not helped by Ramsey continuing to ANTAGONISE when Roose knew he and his house were in a FRAGILE situation and Ramsey would be the NAIL that causes FULL ON Civil War, not that Ramsey cared too high on his Perceived INVINCIBILITY to notice! And of course FURTHER destroying the Lannisters that all SIR BALDY had to do was KILL Kevin to assure Cersei had NO ONE to reign her in and she can 100% destroy all good will the Lannisters had left! So yeah "don't fuck with Sacred Hospitality!) and so MC has no reason to believe he'd keep his word, only thing keeping him from unleashing is he has hostages, but the second their secured, well he has no reason to HOLD BACK.
Sorry MC isn't an Edgelord who doesn't care about causalities (I mean, EVEN THE EDGELORD MCs out there would make the same call as he did if they had no means to protect others, again even if he can HEAL the damage, they were using POISON, something I don't think he can deal with his healing. And it works in his favor since THEY have no idea of the CARDS he has to still play, or that he can be CONTAINED! NEVER stop the enemy when their "defeating themselves under the BELIEF they THINK they are defeating YOU!"
Yep that makes sense. Never thought he was in ANY danger. Only thing holding him back was the Hostages and no idea on what is happening. Second those aren't factors, well I doubt they have any means to contain him.

No, he didn't put in any work to get to where he is, as I implied in my comment above. He inherited everything and has no concept of why or how they came to have this village; he just knows there's always been a village and believes there always will be a village.

Theres so much going on with this and absolutely none of it makes any sense in the context of the writers own world right now. i get most of it will be handwaved and explained away but this is an awful way to introduce things to your readers. If your readers are more confused than your characters, you havent done a good job.

My guess is Jinya forced the mother to activate the device so he can abuse the future for his own benefit, which he will claim is the tribe, even when it wasn't finished. He threatened that he would have Anako do it so the mother took the risk which forced her in this coma. She is probably being maintained so they can continue using her power and will no longer care since they will force the same. It will fail and he will have a flashback of how he was told he was going to ruin the tribe and then he will see them betrayed by the demons and destroyed by his hands. The other friend will become the leader and will join the humans.

to be fair tho Mc will now be "forgotten" about because he's caputre and only a healer.
Now he can just break out of prison and just knock out everyone in the castle without any issues.
He's not King, didn't you hear Hayate, he yelled at him if he got the approval of the other Chiefs where he pretty much all but said "no this was his own decision" and he was taking them captive so he's doing a COUP against the other Chiefs to go HIS path without other input but his Loyalists, so he's committed TREASON against the Village by acting in what HE thinks is there best interest and NOT what ACTUALLY is in their BEST INTEREST
Remember, they have a HUGE bad blood with Humans, but as you said, the Demons are ILL any better and likely approached to prevent the Kingdom from at least securing them as allies (remember the Demons only REALLY have respect for the Kingdom of Lyngel (specifically the Demon King) because their the ONLY Kingdom taking the threat of the Demons SERIOUSLY! Everyone else is just ignoring them because "sadly" their doing a good job "pushing the Demons back" means the other kingdoms "have better things to do with their time" which makes them VERY short-sighted (like this idiot) as if Lyngel falls, they'll be next! Of course they likely ARROGANTLY assume they can "cut a deal with the Demons" or "defend against them since Lyngel has done so, with NO clear clue HOW the Demons fight or a REAL PLAN, so it's likely Lyngel is the LAST bastion to face the Demon Kingdom, and they ain't going to STOP if they DO destroy Lyngel. So VERY CLEAR the other Kingdoms will likely FALL easily (I mean so far in the Journey to GET to the Village! We've got to see first hand "the rest of the world" and yeah their REALLY not taking the threat of the Demons seriously or have their OWN pressing issues so I can SEE the Demon's Curb stomping everyone else
I doubt his ALLIANCE with the Demons is genuine, and he thinks he's "using them" for the benefit of the Village (or so he convinces himself that's his end goal). But "hubris before the fall" as they say. Demon King is suspect to be an old hero who was betrayed, so why would the douche NOT think they'd see a BETRAYAL coming and already made plans to make it TEMPORARY ttill they get what they want out of them
Also to the OTHER commenter who brought up "he could heal the Poison!" I ask you do you think he can heal it on EVERYONE at once WHILE defending himself AND them all?! Poison will likely mean MORE energy devoted to healing AND he's not in ANY good position to fight properly in the location their in unless you want him to "BRING DOWN THE ROOF!" Frankly he has advantages they DON'T know about (like a CERTAIN Owl they DON'T know is a OLD Half-Vampire Necromancer in disguise for example) and he can always escape, better to get MORE on why this is happening and the POS "plans" (I swear everyone is so bloodthirst and not prone to THINK for a second)
