I don't know how no one has mentioned what the base of the horns looks like. The stump is jagged and uneven. The horns are not detachable. They clearly broke off.

I suspect created monsters have shortened lifespans. We will be hit with several chapters of angst. And then the MC will permanently sacrifice the super belt to be used by the professor to give her a human lifespan. After which the professor returns the belt because there’s a bit of power still in there. It just needs a decade or two to recharge. Time enough for them to have a kid who will be the next hero.

I think the professor would have warned her if she had a very short life expectancy, because her mission on paper can last X years if she goes about it the wrong way with the hero or if he doesn't respond to her advances.

So, a funny fact.
In my culture, knocking your head on another person's head is supposed to lead to horns growing, so you need to knock heads again to prevent horns from growing. Seeing her horns disappear upon hocking with his head reminded me of that.
