To be fair, Yak gives me bad vibes too. They're too nice, if that makes sense. I can't help but think their story about someone with a Critical emblem being responsible for their arm being missing is a lie, or at the very least leaving out some important details.

This title kinda lost its early charm
This is still good. Stories have an ebb and flow. New arcs need set up, world building and character introduction.

The first chapters were probably based off of the author's initial pitch... then once they got picked up and start publishing, they needed to do some world building in order to have the space to keep on writing. It's tough to world build in a constant stream of "exciting" events. Sometimes characters just need to talk to flesh out the "who, what and why".

I can see why people would think that the way this story goes is not the most ideal.
I've read most works of this mangaka and it's rather apparent that action stories are not really her strong suit. Case in point, both her previous manga "Paper Braver" "and "Master's Corpse," they both have decent storylines but fail at having a satisfying conclusion (I still love both of them).

What IS her strong suit is character interaction. The way she makes characters practically bounce off of each other is great, and also the reason why her glasses girl manga really took off (and also the reason behind why Goat exists, cf. "ch. 7.6 Interview Article"). I personally really enjoy that aspect and would still read her stories simply for that, even if the storyline itself was written horribly.

It's possible they absolutely believe everything they're saying while also not saying the truth at the same time. Gotta remember we know about the second "hero" organization and they aren't afraid of framing others. Regardless it's pretty obvious that Ehta will not be murdering anyone and will likely even save a bunch of people

I like how the creep guy says "I can tell you were hurt by the heroes that's why you hate them" and ehta responds by saying that isn't why, I think it's trying to show us that this guy doesn't really care and is just trying to use him,
