Thank you very much for translating this. I don't have anything else to say besides it's really scary!

So while I still don't think I know enough what the picture is about to make theories I got some observations about the smudge. So the main thing is that I think the smudge being on the room and floor they live on might be a mislead. My reasoning is that the way in which the smudge covers the windows is like super uneven, and not actually centered on the window. In fact the smudge even covers the floor underneath as well. As for what the smudge is I noticed that the shape looks like it may have been a triangle or a rectangle or arch, so perhaps he was originally using the shape ruler to draw out shapes for the drawing he was intending to make but decided he needed to erase it with an eraser to make a different drawing thus the smudge being this large shape. Alternatively, it could also be that using the shape ruler was the issue, since they were recently scolded for using it, but I'm not sure how that is mystery relevant. Other than that the smudge I don't know what it could be that would still be mystery relevant.

Since the guy above me already said most of the thing except for that one thing about the name so I will just point that out. The mom looks surprised about the kid can write his name correctly. Which doesn't look weird in our eyes but he wrote it in kanji and he is just a kindergarten but he can write it correctly without erase anything which is weird for a kid that age. Its like he seen his name(or maybe surnames Idk) a lot to the point that he remembers it. maybe from the grave stone from the previous chapter. but that means he and his dad visit it so many time to the point that the kid remember how to write his name

That all I want to say. sorry if it hard to read English isn't my first language.

Just realized the texture of the line of the smudged window looks a bit different? The other windows look like they are drawn with crayon but the smudged window line looks neater, so he possibly used permanent marker there but remembered got scolded because of it so he tried to erase it but it got smudged like that :thonk:

'grave mistake' to 'reunion' hopefully nothing too ominous

Yeah other than some spelling tests and stuff idk how often kindergartners are practicing writingt words/their own names but i guess countries like jp with how complicated kanji is ppl would practice writing their surnames if they aren't sticking to katakana

But the teacher did specifically say they practiced

And dang i know some younger kids are ignorant but if a parent freaked out i'd def be more aware too even if i didn't think a 'bad guy' was chasing us

But also kinda on her for not calling the cops but i guess nothing they can do other than complain to the landlord to have guards or something there/better security

Right. Time to wear my tinfoil hat and get some deductions on the ground.

First, Ms. Konno is obviously not Yuuta's blood mother. Some people think she is Ren in disguise in the previous chapter's comment thread, but I believe Ms. Konno isn't Ren even if she is related to Ren.

The repeated mention of makeup already tells us Ms. Konno most probably hides her age lines. In combination with her calling Yuuta's father "little Takeh", it makes me think "little Takeh" is her actual son while Yuuta is her grandson. No idea why she can't take care of Yuuta as his grandmother in this case, but it's probably has something to do with how she is also hiding her real face (thus her real age).

Currently I wanna say "little Takeh" is Ren and thus Yuuta is Ren and Yuki's son, but the timeline kinda doesn't fit given in the 1st case Ren's last update was 1.5 years ago while in this 2nd case "little Takeh" is mentioned to have been dead for 3 years. Also if next year Yuuta is entering elementary school, then that means he is currently around 5 to 6 years old depending on his birthdate. So if Yuuta is actually Ren's son, there would have been around 4 years of timeskip between case 1 and this, quite a lot. There is a chance that there is actually a timeskip, but I will wait until we get more facts.

It's the translator choice of word for "Take-chan". Then again it can also be used for the same meaning as little Takeh.
I am more saying that it's a term of endearment from someone who logically should be older than the Take in question. And thus my current deduction that she is said Take's mother than his widow.

Now that you mentioned it. Why didn't she just call the police I mean even if the police aren't reliable. It'd be better if she did atleast report it to them. But she might've reported it once cuz she did said again on previous chapter. Maybe it just that the police did not take any action. Or maybe she has the reason why she can't call them.

Depends on how much they care , I assume the dad is gone or divorced but can imagine someone looking down on her being a single mother or so and judging her for “overreacting”

At the very least report it to the landlord/security that someone is hanging around the building but guess it’s not a gated neighborhood
