Yeah because turning a perfectly fine attentive engaging young guy into some spineless neglecting asshole cuck that takes over shifts so other guys can be with their girlfriends while taking a dump on his promise and gf is enjoyable and absolutely necessary for that lifeblood.

You can have organic drama and development without this nonsense. You don't need to completely change an established character and drag them through not only dirt but dogshit and rocks and empty their dome for that.
"Allow characters to change", so he should.. change into who he was before for 15 chapters? Wat?

I would've liked her changing from being a pushover and confronting him and the misunderstanding. Or for him to man up to his own feelings. Not man down as a male to an absurd level.
