Out of all the extra chapters, this is the one that most baffled me as to why it's behind an exclusive app-only subscription and labeled as an extra. You'd think that kind of stuff is reserved for inconsequential funny side stories, but I guess not here.

This shows us a major element related to Rio's character, one that is even alluded to directly in the main story, but if you just read the series normally in any platform or buy the volumes, you would have never known about it and been left wondering what the hell Momoka had against Rio to suspect her.

So, yeah, seems like Rio was always about putting her friends down.

Man, Rio is a piece of work. And as much as I like being a bigger person and everything, if I found out someone I hung out with was a dirt bag the whole time and they talked about me behind my back, I'd wish I'd never met them either. Comparing a normal friendship growing apart is nowhere near the same thing.

But that's the rub, right. Most of the time it only really matters when that person crosses you. Rio and Kyouko can still be awful and try to cheat on their husbands but if they didn't pick Mahoro's, she'd at least try and understand them because they didn't fully betray her. I mean we saw exactly that, with Kyouko. Where you draw that line in the sand is also human nature.

After reading this, I’m kind of angry about how Rio found her « happiness » after all she’s done. She was always all about putting her friends down, even before she became unhappy with Itsuki. With the rumors she spread, maybe some good dudes avoided momoka, maybe her college life could’ve been different.
Imo this extra chapter completely erased the little excuses Rio had for her shitty behavior (doesn’t change the fact that Itsuki is a piece of work too)

Oh, so rio didn't turn bad after an abusive relationship she's just an asshole naturally and got in an abusive relationship that will probably end up with her dead or homeless... like tl said it's very weird that the author locked this as an extra, like, it recontextualizes Rio's chapters because instead of being an average woman who's just a victim of japanese law and society she's a piece of shit who probably would've ended up doing the same even if her husband wasn't abusive.

Oh and also shout-out to the author's totally super cool addition haruto, who definitely feels naturally implemented and not shoved in with brute force. Sheesh, after ending the whole story he feels even more like a poorly written oc from wattpad.

He likes controlling her and she's realized she likes being controlled - as long as its done "right"; treating her as an individual and not just an interchangeable doll, getting tons of attention.
Everyone's happy.
The fact everyone's happy is supposed to make you realized that makes the situation even more fucked up.

I do think it eventually will break down. Either the attention from just Itsuki isn’t enough anymore or perhaps Itsuki gets bored of her. I don’t think Ituski will turn out physically abusive but he is mentally abusive and I have trouble believing things between him and Rio are all a-okay now and will stay like that. I can imagine that if she doesn’t want to do something that he absolutely does want that he’ll hold her cheating above her head for example. But as long as she acts how he wants her to and he like she wants him to, I think it will work out. But that’s unrealistic.
