You can see how she's drawn like a silly little girl, all bubbly and carefree like a Bambi, while he's a traveller of some kind and looks like your typical player who probably had silly girls like her here and there. The question is where all the other elves were to guard a young girl from the player, although it's the story as old as the world itself, of girls choosing players and players using them. The other question is him marrying in a single year which makes me think it was a shotgun marriage (he got some girl pregnant and her relatives were powerful and persistent enough to force him into marriage).

Elf mama's issue with her previous lover wasn't that he died or his short lifespan, it was sorely because of how fast he moved on.

Even in human lifespan, 1 year of moving on after promising to wait for someone is insulting. It's like your partner going abroad for maybe a decade and promising to wait for each other, then when your partner comes back you already married someone else after just 1 year, with kids to boot during that 10 years absence.

Demonio, on his part promised that he'll fix the problem with the world tree and won't let her be the sacrifice again. For Elf mama, the promise part is the most important part.

That's why I said I wanted to see the story from his perspective. Did he forgot about her the day after? Was he conflicted about finding a new lover but decided that since he cannot be with Tierra he could make other girl happy?
Even him not telling his family about her could be seen as him not wanting his wife to believe he only married her because he cannot be with his true love.
We'll never know because I doubt the author will go back to this guy and the point is that Tierra will now find true happiness with Demonio.

My wife doesn't know all of my exes names. My son doesn't even know I've had other relationships (he's 5).

I know my dad had 1 girlfriend before my mom (only because I once saw an old picture of him and the ex together). I have no idea how many relationships either of my parents have had, and they didn't even say that ex's name. This isn't really something I've talked about with anyone before, but it seems to be natural to not tell the kids about that.
