That isn't a case for Russian translations xD A lot Russian translators taking money to open a month earlier. That is understandable BUT thing is that it is same amount for 1 part as for full chapter of any other manga.
So basically for 2-4 translated chapters they're asking same as 2-4 full chapters for other mangas xD Not everyone ofc but a lot going with way xD

Square Enix charges for split chapters so kind of the same deal but I'm sure there's nothing malicious or predatory behind it just like the other poster said mmhmm yep
