I have no idea why this is rated so high. It's cliched abusive-tsundere slop surrounded by typical power harassment rebellion/rejection fantasies.
Like the author started out halfway interesting by having the MC aware of how broken, stupid, and hypocritical the whole "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down" mindset is and how pathetic people who just idolize and worship the rich & powerful are, then instead of doing something interesting it just plays right into the same escapist garbage for marginalized losers where the MC only breaks out of the cycle because they're also super awesome and powerful and have all the girls throwing themselves at him. And in doing so it plays right into the very concept it tries to decry by refusing to stand out and instead just doing the safe, predictable thing that every other similar series does.
I saw the rating and that I had no markings for it on my planned-to-read or dropped lists so I thought maybe it escaped my notice. Then I read the first couple of chapters and found that I do remember checking it out months ago and thinking it was garbage. I would honestly expect this to be in that mushy range of low-to-mid 7s that usually signals "this is probably pretty bad unless it's specifically to your tastes", not pushing high-8s.
