Glad to see this one continuing. Mental Health as the focus of an isekai series is pretty novel, and trying to practice therapy and applied psychology in a setting that 1) doesn't even know what it is, and 2) as shown here, is "pretty far down the priority list" when it obviously proves a real need for the very people everyone's depending on, adds a lot of actual tension to a narrative that primarily involves the protagonist sitting in a chair and talking to people.
Will be interesting to see how she treats people who need actual medication and long-term intervention care. Perhaps there will be the application of actual magic down the road, and/or the employment of alchemists / apothecaries in finding in-world iterations of what she would have prescribed before.

But I do wonder if this will dovetail into others in this world learning the same practice as her, as (I guess "hopefully") she proves successful enough that she can't handle her eventual client load. Introducing therapy and cognitive psychology to an isekai world at large would be an interesting long-term form this series could take, with her work with the Hero party being the catalyst to showing just how important it could be for everyone.

Another interesting chapter, though I’m not sure if representing the first impression of Bipolar being “yandere-eyed cleric summons knives from her thighs” I have a family member with it, and while it going untreated can lead to some scary situations, I’m not quite sure if the escalation into violence would be that fast.

Agreed, about how it's being framed as a yandere type sexy thing. Although, I will say that her immediately acting violent does make sense with 1. Her Upbringing being so anti violence 2. Her proffession as of late being a combatant (kinda) in the front lines and 3. Her immediately getting trained to fight after a traumatic event.

oh honestly idm. im not a therapist, i wouldnt diagnose her w bipolar but ive got it myself on the opposite end where i start out manic before falling into a dogshit mood when i rein myself in bc i beat myself up for feeling like i lacked self control. theres diff types of bipolar and this one just looks like a crazy swing to mania bc if she confronts the death w a depressive mindset, she might actually kill herself.

personally, the wild swing looks p logical to me considering she just lost a major support system in a traumatizing way + she didnt have a good grasp on her cognitive processes and depression yet in the first place. dealing w trauma DOES look that drastic when your mental situation was not too hot in the first place.

good luck to hoshino this looks crazy and i honestly dont know how she'll help the cleric confront and process the death in a stable manner (also grief in general is just a massive bombshell to deal w/) considering her situation w needing to be sent out on expeditions so often. that said, i am the target audience of the gooner bait so im also enjoying that seperately from the p heavy, serious mental health stuff. gooning and empathizing can coexist imo 👍
