I really hate that manga never lets people hold a grudge, the few times you see it it's in overly edgy works like redo of the healer or berserk (before any fans of berserk jump down my throat, Guts was literally born out of a woman that was hanged, it is edgy as fuck). Here people were going to legitimately try to ruin his life over nothing and he's just like "you said sorry so it's all good".

Yukito is also part of this issue too by convincing that man that he was the problem for not forgiving his cheating whore of a wife instantly.

What MC lacks is his own emotions regarding all the stuff he had suffered.
So, even if he remembers the stuff he had forgotten, it wouldn't affect much, other than "oh something like this happened, and it felt like this" scenario.
