My whole life have only been using small square black erasers or the eraser that are attached to the pencil because I won't have any regret making them dirty.

And also I hate these people, especially who chop the eraser into tiny cube. Turning a perfectly normal eraser into useless cubes that cannot even be reused and throw them away later gotta be a crime or some shit.

Heh. I cut my big eraser into four cubes. One turned into a dice for games, one left at school, one put inside my pencil case and one at home.

reminds me of someone having an anecdote where they had a large comically oversized pen/pencil and would bring it outta their backpack every time their seatmate asked them if they could borrow one lol

my friends would either poke smiley faces or write/carve their own names into it sometimes

I've never seen anyone make anything out of a rubber's (no, I'm not going to say eraser) shaving, didn't even know it was a thing.
