yea, thats a japanese thing, the first born of the gender is called the eldest son/daguhter

so in a family of 6 with 4 kids (3 boy and 1 girl)

First child (boy) -> Eldest son / First son
Second child (boy) -> second son
Third child (girl) -> Eldest daughter / First daughter
4th child (boy) -> third son
