I don’t think she’s masterminding anything right now. I think she saw that this is exactly the sort of thing the mastermind likes to do and she tried to hijack the scenario a little. With he last guy gone there are technically a couple of methods she could try to break free from a misc YouTube tutorial depending on how thorough they were with tying her up. The point of having somebody check up on or guard her is to make sure she doesn’t get time to do so. Or she could have had backup of some sort nearby if she suddenly works with allies.

People forget how Spica modus operandi this,she want to see if they can adjust the button themselves if not she acts when no one expect,see the arsonist arc

Or she was directing the criminals all along, and either intentionally killed her own family, or the gang inadvertently killed her family during a robbery that she directed. And now she's cleaning things up, and maybe setting herself up to go to jail.
