to be honest that cop just pulled that theory out of his ass. like, who told you she could kill in the first place? there is no evidence besides she was involved in a few crimes scenes. and didnt you just hear the chief say she is the only one left alive? coming to the conclusion that spica is not only a murderer but is also colluding with a family member you just guessed "is alive" right after saying that "you're not gonna do the same mistake as you did with a false arrest" is just... wow. bro be watching too much dexter
It's more like he tends to think out of the box, allowing him to throw in multiple scenarios, which honestly something a detective could use to solve difficult cases.
The only problem is that whether he would try to follow up to prove it or not. After all, his mistake was following an arrest without concrete evidences, but it doesn't mean he aren't allowed to deeply investigate to prove it before issuing an arrest.
