jesus christ the machine/building thing on page 5 could not look any more obviously pasted onto the page if they tried. it looks like someone took a photo, ran it through a photocopy filter to make it monochrome, then smoothed/blurred the shit out of it until it's this big, fuzzy, incongruous mess and dropped it onto the page.

The author / artist clearly wants it to be a nuclear reactor, but I'm not sure it is a nuclear reactor. There are rods that seem like control rods, and weird symbols to warn people away... But if the ancient hero really knew what he was doing and made a nuclear reactor in another world, how did he screw up so badly that he put the biohazard symbol (☣) instead of the ionizing radiation symbol (☢)?



Did the ancient hero not get finish his nuclear engineering degree because he got isekai'd while still in college?
"That time I got hit by a truck and built a shoddy nuclear reactor in another world!"

As accurate as this is (and hilarious to boot), it's clear that by The function and purpose of the machine, the biohazard symbol belongs here more than the radiation symbol. It collects and stores/purifies the miasma, which is about the closest this isekai world would have to biohazardous matter. But then why indeed would it be designed as a poorly constructed reactor
