There's no reason the illusion mage isn't behind it, as shown, he thinks he can control the MC under usual circumstances. Then there is no reason he can't control the nominal head of the organization (and why it was only him speaking on the broadcast), perhaps even the death of his daughter was merely a ploy to weaken him mentally to bring him under direct control. The title also seems to indicate they're in a game world, so perhaps they're reincarnated or merely have otherworldly knowledge to know of their place within the design of the world. Regardless, these types of characters have unhappy childhoods typically, so its sort of a way of avoiding death (which they may have had no part in) and wish fulfillment for both the villainess and villain in the assassin by basically freeing him from his burden. If she was in on it, it's a neat little way to make him do the dirty work of cleaning their own house and leaving it to better hands i.e. the protege of the MC.She's leader of the organization. She's responsible for its actions. Either 1) She was directing/agreeing with the murder of the wife; 2) She knew, and a little bad about it, but didn't stop it. (guilty); 3) Didn't know. Members of organization were running wild and she didn't know. (Incompetent. Essentially manslaughter.) First two deserves death for her guilt. Option three is iffier, but still probably warrants death for incompetence & manslaughter.
She is NOT a blank slate. Her memories still exist, they just aren't accessible right now.How to raise a kid into a psycho. If a 4-year-old with a blank slate has kidnapping, getting shaken, seeing a guy get smacked and have fingers broken, they're going to think that's normal. This story is dark, ya'll.
That would be the ultimate revenge story, raise the former leader of the Peace Organization who rejuvenated herself to escape the consequences of her own actions, into their most dangerous enemy then burn have her burn the entire organization to the ground. How to raise a kid into a psycho. If a 4-year-old with a blank slate has kidnapping, getting shaken, seeing a guy get smacked and have fingers broken, they're going to think that's normal. This story is dark, ya'll.
Judging by the author's other works, it can go any way whatsoever. It can be a super wholesome story, or it can end with a brutal revenge with explicit torture, both mental and physical. Or it can even involve both at the same time. This is rage inducing, but interesting. I think (hope) there’s more to the story than it seems, but even if it isn’t, it could be a good story about forgiveness and redemption. Although if this mangaka doesn’t have the skill for it…
…. Sorry, I guess I should be saying “fuck all that, kill them all, raaargh!”
Wait, for real? Oh shit, haha! The author is a woman, and she also wrote this extremely wholesome story.
Ayo what the fuck was the author thinking??The first arc of the story is the MC breaking away from his abusive childhood friend/girlfriend Hanabi and getting closer with another girl Yukishiro. It culminates with the abusive ex forming a gang of simps to try and hurt him in the woods during the school camping trip, but it backfires and Hanabi falls off a cliff and breaks her leg. After that she becomes regretful and depressed.
But then the second act starts. MC starts dating Yukishiro, and they get a job together at a cafe. There's a female coworker Tsubasa at the cafe who likes to break up couples and NTR the boyfriends. She starts telling lies to start her plans. Meanwhile, MC's GF finds out Hanabi is being forced to do sex work while she's too depressed to say no, and she is debating whether to tell the MC or not.
It went from a school bullying drama to a horrific sex crimes drama/ntr drama, and that spoiled the mood for a lot of readers.
