Just Found Out The Dogs Have Been Saved In Korea!

I'm 100% American raised. However, I'm also Korean, and was born in Seoul. And the one thing that absolutely disgusted me about the country I came from was its people's consumption of dogs. So very much disgusted, that I wanted to drop a nuke.

But, apparently, the demonic act is now being banned and it will take effect in 2027.

Now let them treasure god's gifts of cuteness.

Maybe...Maybe, not these, though.

Better late than never. Hopefully, this marks a shift toward more compassion becoming the standard, not something that has to be fought for.

The law was passed in 2024 to take effect in 2027 (for these three years it's not going to be enforced), they were still figuring out what to do with the existing dogs half a year ago and it'd wouldn't be surprising if some of them keep working at until the effective date. The problem of raising any kind of animal is how they're raised, any dog that you buy on a pet shop could have been abused and by buying them you'd be profitting them to keep operating.
Now, there's a certain country that uses dogs in an unexpected way...

Yeah, it's the general problem with ending a type of Animal Food Production, there is usually no way for the ones that remain to have any purpose and will likely be culled, as few can reasonably take care of some of them.
Good to read that people are trying a lot to get the dogs into new homes, even overseas.
