Here’s an infinitely more interesting premise: he’s kill her only to find out she’s innocent because the other lady is like “dude she literally has (insert x description showing her forthright character), she would never give that order”. He now has to cope with the fact he’s not an avenger, he’s just scum who killed an innocent child in blind rage. Also find it funny there’s generic healing magic that instantly heals yet his daughter died and his wife is paralyzed because plot demands it

From what he said earlier, he was planning to kill himself after getting his revenge (or at least expected to die trying), so if he succeeded, there wouldn't be much of a story. Healing a gash on a leg is different from raising the dead (daughter was said to have died instantly) or healing major spinal damage.
