I would have expected it to go in either the "slut realizes the sex can't satisfy her desire for intimacy" or "guy grows a backbone and stops chasing after a slut" route, not this. I'm going to turn that around and say that actually it seems like Goro was running out of things to cover with the NSFW portion, and they realized they had more they wanted to draw about than just hentai.

Since volume 8 was chapters 67-76 and all volumes are 9-10 chapters then volume 9 should end just before Shigemi’s sex scene; so we’ve seen that “character growth” already. Therefore the chapters we’re looking at right now are going to be volume 10 material, which would include Shigemi’s sex scene and then maybe Kiyomi’s if she does lewd shit with Gotou right off the bat.

Yes, there is definitely something creepy about an adult woman holding on to a marriage proposal from a 10-12 year old boy and then using her professional connections to get into close proximity to him when he’s a couple years short of graduating high school in order to assumably emotionally blackmail him into a marriage he is very likely not interested in, nevermind ready for.
Personally though, I probably feel similarly to Gotou about the situation, where I definitely know something’s wrong but Kiyomi is just too hot for me to not get turned on.

I really dont see the point in adding this new woman, Shigechi worked since it was recycling a previously introduced character so I'm not sure why Super didn't just opt for the same strategy again this arc, even Inukai was a recycled character and while bro was hated he still contributed to one of the most infamous parts of the story. Plus, I thought it was Akito's role to be person from Gotou's childhood but now she's been made obsolete. I thought Shigechi was just chatting shit when she said Akito was only with Gotou to not feel lonely but depending on how this character is handled it really might be the case lol.

While I can't fully discredit super's writing since he still manages to get millions of copies somehow, I really don't see what he's cooking. I would have rather he touched on things he set up like Agawa's warning on girls like Akito or Shigechi and Agawa telling Gotou that Shiina and Akito don't really want to be in a harem with him. Even just having Gotou interact with them would work, mainly for Akito since she seems really meaningless right now lol. Even back in the original threesome chapters we got hints about Agawa having family issues.

And if Super wants to focus on new stuff then how about focusing on the fucking FL, I'm getting tired of this retard Gotou and want to see what Agawa's getting up to (even if it's guaranteed to be a different brand of retarded shit).
