If it was under the V3 forums, that may have behaved differently - I never poked around during that era very much. But the current incarnation of the forums does behave this way.

Well that's annoying since it make it harder to tell which is which. Would be nice for them to show MD account creation date instead so there is no confusion.

Batoto didn't die for this, MangaDex was created because Batoto wanted out and IIRC from a post made at that time, owner didn't wanted to pass the torch and just killed the site after like a week of that post.

Well... How do i put it.. I know your point is to just harass other people, so i'm wasting my breath here, but has it never occurred to you that maybe it was an open tab for me because i was in the process of reading it? But, yeah, in the first half of the first volume there wasn't anything like that.

Also, even if there are teens afterwards... You know, it's generally regarded that kids around age 7 begin to fully comprehend the difference between play/fantasy/fiction and reality. Some bit slower, toward age 9-10. So i sincerely hope this happen to you too soon.

Quite a simple example of what is wrong with the "middle ground" - some people consider depiction of homosexuality wrong and as something that should be censored. A lot of people would go "well, obviously we shouldn't lower ourselves to those people's standards".
Other people don't see anything wrong with fictional depiction of things that aren't allowed in reality when it comes to works aimed at mature audience, who should know the difference (\cough\ Japan \cough\), but then then exact same "we shouldn't lower ourselves" people turn around and go "that's absurd - we should censor that", without seeing a shred of irony in that.

Had my main mangadex account for years, never felt a need to post on the forums (that's apparently a separate account for some reason) untill now. All I know is when I go to account setting I see the delete account option is "temporarily unavailable" which frankly seems sketchy as fuck.

It's been "temporarily unavailable" for the last couple years. I don't think they ever re-implemented it after the v5 rewrite, though it has always been on the list of planned features.

As I recall..for what that's worth. It has something to do with the creation of the forums and that attempts to delete accounts are almost assured to be catastrophic.

Yes, because of how the database was built, there is no good way to remove an account without causing a bunch of knock-on problems to come up. It's been coming SOON™ for about as long as we've been using V5 (roughly the beginning of 2023, after being down for about 21 months).
