The images are hosted on discord.what happened to the images ?
The images are hosted on discord.what happened to the images ?
They also said such mass removals wouldn't happen since each n' every comic posted to the site as prior approval. They did say they wanted to try and restore the series pages without any chapters
We didn't get any heads up during the DMCA purge, so I'm not sure why people are so surprised.
They've said for a long time they'll respect takedown requests
BTW...some guy who's wife left him, got most view on youtuub out of all the videos that covered this debacle
please bear with me, i dont understand that answer. The images are hosted on discord.
discord image links automatically break after a few days when you use them outside of discordplease bear with me, i dont understand that answer.
does it mean the images had been removed on discord ?
is the linking broken ?what were those two images about ? do you remember or still have them ?
I don't recall anyone saying this. In fact, only a tiny minority of titles have prior approval. I can name like, 1 title that isn't self-published that received approval from the author.each n' every comic posted to the site as prior approval.
I mean would you trust a site that removes stuff without any communication? Plus I am sure for most groups this was just another item that made them decide to remove their stuffAll uploaders and groupleaders: Please stop removing your uploads. This is not helping.
sure. But at least for me the goal was and is to keep the website with its library alive .I mean would you trust a site that removes stuff without any communication? Plus I am sure for most groups this was just another item that made them decide to remove their stuff
You sure about that bud? Check mineWe both know that this isn't reasonable and the people that come here weren't old users, but strangers that want to stir shit and be in an online drama.
They did say it,everytime someone mentioned MangaDex in some capacity, that is what they said.I don't recall anyone saying this. In fact, only a tiny minority of titles have prior approval. I can name like, 1 title that isn't self-published that received approval from the author.
you better check that again. We both know that this isn't reasonable and the people that come here weren't old users, but strangers that want to stir shit and be in an online drama.

we try to convince the Admins to do better and save the website and the content.
Removing even more stuff is just a terrible spiteful move.
imo he's talking about the ultimate cuck whose wife cucked him with his best friendBTW...

That would certainly narrow it a lot,but I probably have not heard who that specifically is.imo he's talking about the ultimate cuck whose wife cucked him with his best friend
and all of his friend group left him because of his pro-ice/racist views
Who? Because it's certainly not anyone on MD staff. Maybe you're thinking of WC or comick? They did say it
It's not MD's fault if uploaders lie, but it's still their responsibility to remove offending titles when legally requested to.uploaders that the series has prior approval
There is no identity crisis. You just don't like what MD has always been. The long running identity crisis
For users uploading chapters that there is a one time review for each language the site supports. This is mostly just to stop blatant bad actors from spamming uploads. After the one review subsequent uploads are just uploaded. (Unless a user has some sort of rules violation)They did say it,everytime someone mentioned MangaDex in some capacity, that is what they said.
I does feel like there is an identity crisis going on but not for the same reasons. (My opinion) Mangadex was a community and still is a community to most users but Mangadex no longer "acts" like a community. The things that happen now are rigid, sneaky, and corporate feeling. This causes a disconnect from what users expect and what they end up getting. The long running identity crisis needs to end,MangaDex is a piracy site, complying with anything, especially non-existent laws,is not what they should be doing.
I think this could easily be solved by having more staff. There's like what 25 staff for the 3 million+ users and 75,000+ titles? Every time I see a staff member post a screenshot of the report queue it's at 2000+ reports.rigid, sneaky, and corporate feeling
I think some of the 10 series pages have been restored (like Stray Cat manga) without chapters. I haven't bothered to look for the more extreme series to see if they've been restored.have they been restored
I know that Tae-chan To Jimiko-san had its title page restored along with six chapters uploaded by @Chimeko1031have they been restored?
I am generally inclined to agree with this. I will say there are a couple of mods that do participate in the forums to some degree, and they're pretty easy to talk to and reasonably open about site dynamics if you have a question - that's the sort of community involvement that can provide a framework for dealing with these kinds of circumstances. There is nominally a PR member of staff (though exactly what that involves is something I've never looked into), but having a designated community PR contact (or three) for internal communications would seem like a good approach to this.I think this could easily be solved by having more staff. Of course, more staff also means more opportunities for rogue staff responses like we saw here.
