Pretty sure we've been told the manga will end with LN3, basically where the anime did. But what of it? As you say, adaptations are rarely the complete story -- so go to the original if you want that.

I also still think 'magical revolution' was analogous more to Industrial than a political one.

Am curious, if I want to pick up where the anime left off, do I go LN 3, or LN4?

I am ever so confused here, if we're talking the line of the sex and euphie should be on trial too given the kiss marks are on anis neck or anything the evidence provided shows and was the receiver either way, but the again it appears they just wanted to accuse anis of something in a goofy way which is fine I suppose, although if either of them was gonna be more guilty of anything it'd be euphie or not both but I digress, ethics am i right?

Euphyllia's healing and newfound strength is precious. They've come really far from the princess that couldn't trust or rely on anybody but herself, and the hollow banished villainess living life like a puppet that had its strings cut.

Just to give note that this series will end with 54 chapter ...that will come out next month ...

If true its such a waste to stop at the same point as the anime. Especially when the manga dragged on for years just to reach where the anime was. The focus of novel 4 is on the transition of power messiness people are asking about, and imo is the actual last book in this arc, not novel 3.


P.S. From early on I also figured the revolution was "industrial". It fits perfectly with Anis' magitech and its also an important step in giving power to the populace.

People read stories about monarchies today and react like the transition to democracy is one decree away. But really the first people to get more power are actually the nobles, then the wealthy. Finally voting rights for commoners stil needs a foundation of education and literacy to make an informed vote. Even if Euphy were to act with unprecedented freedom now it'd take a generation to enable enough lower class people into the system to prevent the upper nobles from immediantly taking over. (Which has been an ongoing conflict since Anis' grandfather's time.)

Affordable and distributable technology makes all this easier. Clean water, heating during the winter, cheaper and faster printing of books. All of this takes alleviates the stress of basic survival and makes knowledge easier to access.

Anime ends after LN 3, but does cut some details about the spirit contract that will come up in later arcs. So "re"-reading LN 3 isnt a bad idea. But if you're fine just using context to pick out those details instead you can start with LN 4.
