That's simply not true. There's plenty to criticize about Watanare, but there's a lot of character development and progress with the the relationships.

Also, for all its silliness and fan service elements, it actually addresses polyamory better than the vast majority of romances do, let alone romcoms.

I find it funny how some people jump to call Watanare a haremshit, when it actually adresses the real problems one would face getting into poly relationship, also a explores a lot of real traumas that can root themselves into people so much they can't escape it for long even in ideal environment for healing. Though maybe they only watched anime or read manga, it didn't get to much angsty stuff yet

I like the concept, but as someone else has already commented, I don't really see what can be done with this story given that they both clearly like each other already and there's no fundamental hurdle for them to overcome aside from a vague feeling of not liking fated love (but even then it's made clear she doesn't so much object to the concept as to how people disregard "classic" love). Hopefully it finds some fun/interesting and not just stubborn rejection over and over again ...

You haremshit fans are just so funny with how delusional you are. You will read the most trope-filled generic mess of a harem manga/LN and pretend that it's a lot deeper than it is because admitting that you like slop is just too self-deprecating for your fragile ego.

I honestly pity you, if Watanare is most trope-filled generic harem for you, then there is probably almost no stories you can ever enjoy, perhaps it is why you are trying to get some satisfaction trying to bring down other people as there is simply no other sources of joy available, even the way how you mention fragile ego is probably you projecting how fragile yours is, I hope your life gets better, really
