I really like it so far, the concept is pretty cool. But since the red string is already tied with 2 people who essentially already like eachother, it kind of feels superfluous, and makes mr worried that it might just cause it to devolve into Tsumugi stubbornly rejecting Amamiya's love for essentially no reason (for way too long).

But really from what I've read so far I don't expect the author to drag it out too painfully long. I just hope the red string concept is expanded on, and not just relegated to an excuse to not move the relationship forward.

That's simply not true. There's plenty to criticize about Watanare, but there's a lot of character development and progress with the the relationships.

Also, for all its silliness and fan service elements, it actually addresses polyamory better than the vast majority of romances do, let alone romcoms.
