lol Rei being a bit of a slob at home is pretty hilarious. All these girls idolize him, but he ends up picking one and then they are like... holy shit... this guy is awful. Hahah. As for the class president... she's just another of the typical girls... not super into her really, but whatever. Also didn't help the whole chapter being about her instead of the main couple who are very cute.

Don't underestimate how willing people are (at least in the short term) to accept flaws in those they're sexually attracted to.
A 45 year old wife, 20 years into her marriage might riot over it but a single teenager? The dude's attractive enough to make it through any "bad second impression".

As for the president, it wouldn't surprise me if she (closely) observes the MC for long enough for shenanigans to happen and she switch her affections to him.
