You know, The thing when it reveal is that Cobra is almost her ex, is is kinda the final nail in the coffin to shape the CEO girl become so nutjob about find a genius that can be her equal, out of abandonment issues
I was very curious how that will play out. But So far author didn't ever mention any of that, as it none ever happen, and now introduced her family, who act all the same, which mean she can just grow and learn all that from her environment and that all.

Yes that is too much, the character who has been insistent on not wanting to date anyone must start dating the most awful partner who has had zero character growth from being a terrible person to be around and whose belief system is entirely opposite her own. Like really, she has had zero growth at all, she still is an egotistical nightmare who only cares about perceived intelligence above all vs Su Li who expressedly hates that. Like everything about Ye Ni is opposed to Su Li and I hate where this is going.

I think Ye Ni has gotten slightly better overtime, she doesnt seem as overbearing or annoying as before. Still don't think they should date tho

Su Li's recognized the changes in Ye Ni, who has mellowed out a ton since her earlier appearance. Now Su Li's got to go find her and save her from her family. Her aversion to being a genius has been a core part of her character but that's also not very healthy. She clearly has some history with her father that's colored how she views the world and part of her journey seems to be shedding a bit of that baggage, though not completely.

Ye Ni's changes have been very apparent. She's been very nice for quite a bit now albeit still with some of her quirks obviously. The woman has been on her knees for months, doing all kinds of work, playing fetch...She's clearly not the same--can't make that change more blunt.

Putting her against her family really helps stress those changes from what she was brought up to be. Su Li has recognized this for some time but has continued their "game" while taking for granted how close she'd inadvertently allowed Ye Ni to get to her. Seems she didn't realize that she'd already allowed someone she is "supposed" to dislike into her life in a way she misses.

The final hurdle is deprogramming Ye Ni from her focus on being smart and in the process, Su Li should learning something about herself too. That's the only real holdover from both of their upbringings. It feels like they both share family histories as partial blame for walling themselves off from others. I think they're very sweet as an unconventional couple.

Why was she tasked with writing about romance to begin with? The one character to have no experience with it?

To understand romance one must fall in love though, it's not as simple as simply dating someone you know

SHES ONLY ATTRACTED TO HER BRAIN, SHALLOW, I dunno why I used all caps, but I doubt it's actually love but more obsessive infatuation cause she values intelligence above all else, therefore she attaches herself to the smartest in the room aka the only one proved smarter than her, although there are different avenes of intelligence and one is merely an experience in that or multiple avenes

DAMN, talk about a reality check... Was I perhaps wrong about this arc being about them getting together or is this perhaps the first step? To break them down so they return stronger? Aight color me intrigued now

Hm... Okay so she has indeed changed rather drastically proven by the conditioning lasting without her crushes presence so then comes the new question, can she handle a relationship without things getting toxic then? Honestly this is probably the best she's gonna get with maybe some of her arrogance being knocked a lil more down the line
I'll take it though I won't stop hating on her she hasn't tried to make up for any of her sins yet or recognize them as sins, but the fact she's unlikely to do anything or such again is still pretty huge
