unfortunately it's hilarious to me that kobeni, all the way back in chapter 92, was ultimately right about denji's satisfaction with chainsaw man. there's no such thing as a life free of bad things, except in your dreams...

Honestly I don't give a shit whether the ending was bad or good.

What mattered to me is the fucking unresolved plots, and how it literally makes 0 sense that pochita eating himself somehow turns back time to a time frame that makes absolutely no sense, when other devils getting eaten doesn't cause this.

Fine, let's say pochita is just special.
Then the entire timeline would still make no sense, since it should turn all the way back to when pochita was born, which would result in an extremely divergent timeline where the devil pochita was made to kill is still present, which is an UNRESOLVED PLOT,mind.

Nayuta still being the control devil instead of makima thus makes no logical sense as she only appeared afterward.

Anyway, him eating himself is also completely futile as he will get reborn via reinvention of chainsaws anyway.Do note he might not just be a chainsaw devil though.

We don't even know what happens to the devils he ate.
He literally ate death,so if devils eaten do vanish from the new timeline,it should fundamentally be more different, but I suppose we'll never know.

anyway,yap over.

This feels rush af even for Fujimoto, this needed a few more chapters to close all the plots
but at least is a happy ending for good ol' Dennis.

I mean, OK, I guess?

I get he intentionally wrote it like a bad fanfic, with all of the fanbase's wishes coming true and Denji just kinda coasts through life. Kinda like he's showing you how shit CSM would be if it just followed a clichéd shonen plot. But like, my man, it's your own manga you're doing this to?

And also yeah, it seems like a dream, and Denji even alludes to that in the beginning, which I guess is also intentional so that it can be read in multiple ways. Which is fine, I'd hate for CSM of all manga to have an ending that doesn't make you want to understand it or discuss it. But it really should have been less rushed. As it is, it's more of a meta-commentary than a real chapter.

Btw. I know it says THE END, but as long as Fujimoto himself doesn't confirm it, anyone claiming this is definitely it for the manga is basically just guessing. I don't think part 3 is likely, but I also wouldn't rule it out in a few years or so.

Fujimoto's pants must be working overtime to support his massive balls because that's what is required to create an interesting, well thought story with likeable, compelling characters then proceed to kill the entire fucking cast, replace them with cardboard cutouts, kill those too, take the story into a dozen different directions, forget about half of them, waste time with lol randumb shit, ignore crap you yourself wrote, trash the entire development of your main character and sideline him for extended periods of time, take twice as long to do this as the good part of the story and end it all with "none of this shit matters because it never happened, fuck you and have a nice day." Fujimoto, you mad man, you have my eternal respect. :chad: 12/10

I'm so glad I started reading manga in time for Boy's Abyss, Oshi no Ko, and Chainsaw Man to shit the bed.
Well, at least they made it to an ending. Meanwhile, OPM is redrawing something for the 500th time, and One Piece is witnessing Usopp being useless in yet another arc.

I would say you all owe Sui Ishida an apology because Re was at least more committed to itself than this. But unfortunately, Ishida is pretty much doing the exact same thing with Choujin X right now.
I kneel, Crayon eating JJK fans, I should have listened to your chimpanzee like cooing sooner.

Dude exactly that on the bad fanfic meta commentary. Its like he ended up just torturing his own creation for the bit in part 2 instead of creating any meaning.

Maybe Fujimoto was the real devil all along.
He was the devil that we found along the way. But honestly, this ending and the people's reaction to it make me smile despite myself. I think that's good enough. I don't have any of the same lingering negative feelings I used to have back when I've been following Bleach as it ended on the cluster fuck of its two final arcs. I shall retain plenty of pleasant memories about the CSM manga.
