That was conceal spell type, one to hide your identity,name etc
Basically you powerful people that can be recognized due to their frame, but if they want to stay undercover, they would use conceal spell, that people won't recognize your name or yourself unless they personally met you before or know you. Other way to counter it is when someone stronger than you. It can be quite powerful, you wouldn't even know their name even if someone mention true name, you will just hear giblish unless you know person.
They purposely use it on Kaito in order to get him separately from his bodyguard/helper to kidnap him but unfortunately Kuro was just happen to be in the area and came across with him
