What if the Abyss is an hourglass, but in time, not spaceSo the abyss really is an hourglass. And the sands are falling.
i was more under the impression that it was a big uterus or a hole inside a gigantic buried beast's head...So the abyss really is an hourglass. And the sands are falling.
Protect it from whom? They are past the point of no return. On their last dive. Pretty sure that's a huge reason why the group hasn't been "dealt with" yet.More pieces of the jigsaw puzzle reveal themselves... Yet, their (apparent) lack of connection suggests that the lore is more complex than predicted.
Nevertheless, now I am more convinced than ever that the Lord of Mystery will eventually turn on our protagonists. Even if it is just to protect her secret identity.
He needs to get one volume out per year and he already lamented that he started later than he wanted. We'll get more soon(ish). Probably in ~2-3 months.Oh man AND IT ENDS LLIKE THAT!? WHEN I HAVE TO WAIT 89 MONTHS FOR THE NEXT TEASE? FUUUUUCK…
Time, space, and intangible objects like lives, souls, whole civilizations. Looping every 2000 years. What if the Abyss is an hourglass, but in time, not space
I mean, they kinda almost died... multiple times. You could even go ahead and say the stars aligned for them to keep progressing so far. Also, although they didn't mug but they did however apply the wise policy of "finders keepers" to the belongings of fallen delvers (on more than one occasion).I think you give them too much credit. You could also argue that the harshness of the abyss makes cooperation more logical.
It might just be a skill issue, honestly. Our protagonists haven't been mugging everyone they come across and they're doing great.
It is logical thinking about survival but that also only ever happens when there is a lot of trust (Riko's group), a very clear hierarchy (Ozen and her whistles) or when you are Bowdred and just keep making lots of yous.I think you give them too much credit. You could also argue that the harshness of the abyss makes cooperation more logical.

True. We gotta wait and see the explanation of how they manage to do that. Maybe as other speculated it's the little guy's power (they manipulate time after all). Or it's something like a weak spot where you pierce the soul and it all vanishes from within. There is also a possibility of a robot/artifact like Reg since his weapon erases anything physical, there might be one that erases anything spiritual/abstract.Yeah but to be fair destroying their existence might go a bit too far.
